Participants will understand how mindfulness works and its application to the stress response, a fundamental key to understanding the benefits of this practice. The course outlines the techniques and different types of mindfulness, and the theory is supported with practical activities as experience is the most beneficial approach to learn how mindfulness works. Opportunities are provided for reflection and discussion. This programs aids a person's concentration, teaching individuals how to stay in the moment, deal better with a multitude of demands and show a greater capacity to manage stress.
