ERGONOMICS IN THE WORKPLACE A request from staff concerned about their health due to time spent on their computer ended productively with a visit from a Physiotherapist from Corporate Zen. Speaking to staff during a lunch time seminar saw them able to learn great ideas to prevent musculoskeletal problems and put into place preventative measures for potentially costly, workplace health issues. HELPING SHIFT WORKERS GET SOME SLEEP! Kate Cooper from Corporate Zen facilitated 'Good Night's Sleep for Shift Workers' at Bairnsdale Regional Health Service. Staff learnt the strategies that can be adopted to ward off the most common difficulties people encounter with their sleep. Strategies to manage shift work were discussed with lots of questions throughout.
HAPPINESS AT THE BREAKFAST TABLE!
An extra serving of happiness was on the plate at the recent annual St Michael's Women's Mass and breakfast at St Michael's. The ladies of the parish and other invited guests were treated to Corporate Zen's "The Happy Feat" as their keynote. The presentation was given by lead Psychologist and company Director Kate Cooper. Kate spoke enthusiastically about the clinical research that has been conducted into what makes us happy and gave the audience plenty of strategies that they can adopt immediately. 'Smashburton', St Michael's newsletter thanked Kate for her 'inspiring speech on happiness', they found the presentation funny and providing plenty of insights to think about. After holding the women's breakfast for 20 years this is the first time the ladies have invited a keynote speaker and she was very privileged to accept.
QUALITY SLEEP FOR SECONDARY STUDENTS Wellington SC started the school year for their Year 12 students with gusto, hosting a 'JumpStart Program' for their Year 12 students. As part of the 2 day program, a one hour session was presented by Corporate Zen on how students can get quality sleep in the all important senior years.
