Workshop Description
Resilience is the ability to bounce back after enduring hardship or managing a difficult time, which is wearing on the mind and body. We all have an innate level of resilience however this a human trait that can be significantly increased and strengthened using a variety of techniques. Solid stress management skills, robust physical and mental health, improved work performance – these are all indicators of a high level of resilience. This course will provide sound research to understand the underpinnings of what makes an individual more resilient. Participants will learn new strategies to improve their resilience by considering self-protection/sustaining/management strategies - behaviours that strengthen both mental and physical health. This includes techniques to manage energy, improve sleep, work life balance, nutritional and stress management strategies. The constant issues depleting resilience at work are then addressed: managing change, dealing with difficult people, time management. Strategies to build a resilient team are emphasised in recognition that a business is built on empowering teams and their performance is driven by their ability to persevere, work productively, manage stress and overcome difficulties. Programs can be run at the client’s premises or for groups of 25 at a venue organised by Corporate Zen. Objective To learn new skills and behaviours that staff can utilise during stressful periods, and also on a day to day basis, that will encourage endurance and coping and maintain good mental and physical health.
