Mood Food

Picture
Program Description
How we feel and behave is more influenced by the food we eat than we might first realise. Food can promote and sustain a good or a poor mood and what influences our choices. We look at how we use food as a coping mechanism to try and improve emotional issues, problems or stress and how diet can actually be harnessed to help one cope. Some areas covered include depression, anxiety, insomnia and fatigue, and also how to change habits; an integral part of the learning without which change may not occur or be sustained long term.

Objective
The objective of the program is to broaden awareness of the impact of food and behaviours on your mood; how one can improve mood and sustain that positivity.

Content
The program focuses on:
  • How foods we eat and our behaviour can affect our mood
  • Which foods and behaviours will promote and sustain positive/negative moods
  • Using food as a coping mechanism
  • Food, positive behaviour and mental health
  • How to change habits and sustain this long term
